The genesis of Strakt dates to the early days of the modular synthesis resurgence in Sydney, Australia. The two members of Strakt, Allinaire and -1, collaborated on various performances and projects during the run of the Sydney New Sound Waves modular synth collective, and now continue the journey as a duo.

While each continue to release their own experimental electronics, Strakt finds common ground between the intricate, aggressive beats of Allinaire and the minimalist, detailed grooves of -1.
